MIKE FAGAN WINS 2012 USBC MASTERS

Jan 29th, 2012 - In the desert right outside of Las Vegas, NV, Mike Fagan claimed his first major title and 3rd PBA Tour National title by winning the 2012 USBC Masters.

Fagan was seeded 2nd and started his day against Bryon Smith. Fagan was in the pocket almost every shot but carry seemed to be an issue. Securing some strikes in the later part of the game, Fagan defeated Smith to move on to meet Chris Barnes.

Entering the championship match, Barnes looked strong out of the gate. Through the mid portion of the game Fagan was down 31 pins. Composing himself, Fagan was able to fine tune his line and began picking up strikes. With an opening from Barnes toward the end of the game, Fagan continued to put strikes up on the board.

Fagan was on a mission to cement his name in bowling history and did so by defeating Chris Barnes 246 to 213.
